Talks & Workshops
As a former teacher, career development practitioner and learning and development professional, Luisa is experienced at devising and delivering talks and workshops, both face to face and online.
In summer 2025 she delivered a talk on Creative Writing for Mental Health for the Careers Wales Conference. She has also presented to book clubs and writing groups about her books and her experience as an author of both traditionally published and self-published novels. She is delivering two sessions for the Romantic Novelists’ Association in 2026, and supports learners in their New Writers’ Scheme on a voluntary basis.
In November 2025 she delivered a three-hour Masterclass for the History Quill on the topic of “Weaving Compelling and Unforgettable Love Stories into Historical Fiction“, and in February 2026 her talk to the Friends of Risca Museum on the topic of “Beyond the Bombs: The Experience of Evacuees and their Hosts in Wales” was described as a “triumph”.
Luisa is a scheduled speaker at the Newport Festival of Words to launch her book Before the Mountain Falls, explaining how the historical eviction of a Welsh farming community from Mynydd Epynt inspired the novel. Tickets are available from Eventbrite.
